~ my rock ~

 i've received d long awaited call from

diamondnplatinum (d&p) today.. :)

i hv already placed a booking with them

even though the stone i wanted wasnt

available at that time.. i know the setting

i wanted, d design i wanted, but the rock

within the budget i wanted wasnt

available.. hehehe..

wat they had at that time were all wayyyyyy above

my budget.. and unfortunately for me, the

design i wanted tu mmg mahal.. but after

deducting membership discount, alhamdulillah

i can still afford it..

d&p found a diamond similar to the specs i wanted,

but with better carrat.. so it was a 'LIL way above

the budgeted amount.. hehehe..

tp takpe, yg penting puas hati coz tis is a ring i will

be wearing for so many years to come!

~ wedding dress ~

tis entry is juz guides to me, and also to all

those future brides to be..

when it comes to choosing the perfect

wedding gown or attire (especially kurung

moden), our body type is very very important..

i am a pear shape.. i have big butt.. hahaha..

mine is more of the tonggek type, not the wide

or lebar ones.. so as for i know tat i should

always avoid those which hugs my hips.. very

very big NO NOOOO.. nmpk buntut sgt besar!

hahahaha!

my best cut will be A cut princess dress..

cam gmbr bwh nie, cantik tak? 

there are so many body types out there..

apple, hourglass, boyish, etc.. i may not know

wat fits wat best.. but it is best if we try on all

cuts and choose which one hides our flaws better..

for example, if you hv small bust n u wanna

emphasize it, stay away from low neck line,

instead go for those whc covers yr whole

chest to make yr chest look bigger..

those with small hips can opt to big ribbons,

or trains dat starts from the hips or dresses

tat hugs the hips.. x jumpa gmbr la.. hehe..

and for those who are short like me.. we should

avoid tiered dresses as it will emphasis how lil

inches we have.. for us shorties, the simpler

the better.. too many ruffles will juz drown us..

~ dream a lil dream ~

every girl would like to have their own

dream wedding.. but those who say they

dont are in denial.. or forgot that they

have one..

we often watch fairytales n wishes tat

one day we'll hv a wedding like tat.. or

we see our fave celebrities' wedding n

wishes the same.. or even our friends'..

however usually dream weddings

require us to hv loads of zeroes in our

bank account.. whc however, not many

of us have tat..

so how do we achieve our dream

wedding without breaking our piggy

bank..

venue ~ we can always vamp up any

community hall to look exclusive.. i have

seen many places whc uses community

hall jer, tp nmpk cam hotel..

decor ~ tis includes pelamin, hall decor,

pedestal flowers, etc.. usually celebrities

will use big wedding planner names like

pak abu, nas great ideas, etc.. but these

planners are very expensive.. tis is juz my

2 cents ok but i will use the planner who

learns from the big wedding players.. wat

we will get is decor that is as grand but we

will pay for much lesser.. lg best kan?

make-up ~ same as decor.. big names are

like saidatulnisa, zulfadzli, etc.. usually these

famous make-up artists do have 'anak didik'..

they learned from the best, but charge much2

less.. tp cantik mcm pro..

wedding dress/attire ~ sama gak.. designers

also hv anak didiks.. find out who they are

and hire them.. they'll definitely charge much

lesser.. tp kena cepat before they also get

famous.. we can also go with new designers

too.. but also, grab them b4 they become

famous..

this also goes for photographers, videographers,

org buat hantaran, caterer, etc..

these are juz a few pointers la.. but it will

definitely help us achieve our dream wedding,

achieve much for less.. it doesnt hurt to dream..

it also doesnt hurt to want to achieve it.. tul tak?

~ the crown ~

nah... not my wedding crown.. our crown ~ our hair..

i cut my hair today.. tis time it is mid-length, 1 inch below

my shoulder..

i have had several looks thru out my life from very short,

but not pixie short to quite long (6 inches after my shoulder

long).. thankfully, i have the face to carry any look..

but wat i really long for is to perm my hair.. not into

those maggi mee curly hair.. but i'd really like to perm

my hair juz like d wig i wore at tis party.. or like my

friends' hair ~ nini, peanut, juz to name a few..

but m actually scared.. scared tat my hair would be ruined..

scared in the long term i'd have coarse hair n live with

regrets for not listening to my mother for not perming my

hair.. hehehe.. so, i guess i'll juz have to settle with my

boring straight hair..

~ old & new ~

i love fashion.. though i may not follow every fashion

fads out there.. but i love to see how celebrities dress

up.. not just the red carpet one, but their everyday

clothes too..

however we do know tat when it comes to following

a certain fashion, money has to be our friend.. but if

we're tight than watever we wanna be buy or watever

look we wanna pull have to be put on hold.. bummer huh..

well, m not really privileged with LOADS of money.. yet..

i have some, but not to d extend of being able to shop

whenever i want, and watever i want.. wouldnt tat be

any girl's dream come true!! hehehehe..

so wat i like to do is not 'out with the old, in with the new'..

but rather, mix the old and new.. some of the celebrities or

fashionistas look can be pulled by stuff from our present

closet.. yes, meaning there's no need to shop! i know, if

possible, mesti la nak shop.. we're girls! hikhik..

like today, i was in a hurry.. and i couldnt decide wat to wear..

so i pulled out my baby tee.. put on my quite new jeans.. and

i was looking around on how to vamp up my oh so simple look..

and then dingdingding! got an idea, pulled out my long black

cardi, and put a wide belt or cincher around it.. and wallah..

terus nmpk agak2 stylo.. kut.. perasan hahaha..

this is only one of the looks i wud do with my old n new outfit..

i love to mix n match stuff to make old look new.. and new

looks even more fab..

and these days, i bought a few items online.. i love online

shopping.. my fave online shop at the mo is triple-bee..

well, have a blast surfing!

~ when manners matters ~

i am very lucky to be born in my family..

i am also lucky tat my mother trained us

in many aspects tat helped us to be well-

mannered and respectful..

my concern today is about manners.. i blv

tat it doesnt matter where u were born, whr

u grew up, or who yr parents are, but

manners are manners. but still, i cant blame

those whose parents didnt teach them wat

manners are AT ALL..

i have met so many ppl, some of whc are my

friends who lacked in manners.. but being my

friends, i will juz tell them off right there n

there to salam my parents n such.. i dont know

if m juz too particular, but, takkan salam our

friend's parents pun tak diajar????????? in tis

case mmg d term 'kurang ajar' tu suitable la

sgt2 kan.. d worst part is when our friend tu

nk stay at our parent's hse or tumpang mkn at

our parent's hse plak tu.. adoihhhh malu siut

ada kwn mcm nie.. malu coz we have friends

who are disrespectful to our parents.. salam

pun tak reti camner???

some ppl da la dtg majlis org, and then acted like

they are d only guest there by talking so loud ~

on the phone.. yes.. very2 rude.. like pls la, tat

day is not about you, it is about yr friend's

engagement, or wedding, or watever event it was..

so nk ckp phone pun go somewhere jauh ckit la..

tak psl2 ganggu majlis org.. tak tau adab ke..

and to me, calling our friend's mum 'kakak' is a

huge NO-NO, no matter how funny we're trying

to be.. it isnt funny even if u wanna kiss their asses..

pls, use yr common sense.. we always, always,

ALWAYS have to call our friend's mum aunty or

makcik in some cases.. but never ever ever kakak!

i am not perfect.. no where near perfect.. but these

3 points tat i highlighted in terms of manners hv

to be looked upon seriously.. bcoz as my friends with

good manners hv discussed before, ppl nowadays

lack good manners.. tis doesnt differ with age.. older,

same age or younger all lack of manners these days..

it is more sad and embarassing when our own friends

displayed tis kinda behavior to our parents.. tsk tsk tsk..

~ raya extended ~

every year, there will be raya open hse at my jalan..

tis year however, mmg tak sempat sgt to do it at any

of the weekends because everybody was bz with their

own raya commitments..

so we had ours today.. hehehe.. tats y tis post is called

raya extended.. but i think it is best to do tis after raya

la.. more relaxed.. and year after year it has always

been on potluck basis..

so wat was on the table today? our main course was bbq..

so for the bbq there were chicken, sausage, fish, calimari

(sotong ler tu, ngada2 je tukar hehe), and burger i think..

my hse was in charge of preparing the fish n calimari..

there were also satay from hj sahmuri, nasi goreng, lamb

stew or lamb gearbox (dunno wat it's called), kuih muih

(the puding jagung was superbbbb!!), watermelon, salad,

coleslaw, ice cream, air sirap limau n teh tarik..

sedap2 belaka.. and kenyang la giler.. there goes my diet

for today. hehehe.. guilty!

~ venue ~

in the midst of preparing my nikah, m also starting

to plan n prepare for my reception whc

insyaAllah will be in april 2010..

so of coz one of the big issue is venue la kan..

there are several things my mum, sis n i look into

when selecting the reception venue.

first of all will be the location of course.. whether it is

easily accessible to all our guests..

parking.. parking hv to pay or free for our guests..

ample space or not.. accessibility of parking to the venue..

the hotel/hall facilities.. surau, toilet, etc.. surau is very

important of course becoz we're muslim kan..

and it is important tat we take into consideration tat our

relative needs a comfortable surau to pray n rest too..

n toilet of coz whether it is clean or not la kan..

then we also need to consider the capacity of the ballroom/hall..

how many can they fit? will it be cramped?

but to us, above all those mentioned above,

food is the utmost priority.. mesti kena sedap,

good service, served hot to our guests.. coz

most places or weddings tat we've been to,

even tho they were held at hotels, always

serve lukewarm food.. barely warm..

and of course before even searching or deciding

between convention halls or hotel ballrooms,

we need to look at our budget first la kan.. tis

shud be d 'first of all' hehehe..

we (my mum, ajoy & i) hv listed down a few

venues tat we might wanna consider.. however,

we hv only been to sacc convec, sime darby convec

and prince hotel..

sacc convec to me out la.. coz we dont even knw

whether the food is nice or not in the first place..

it's juz tat the place is very new, and of course

very clean sbb very new la.. but management

wise, i find the ppl behind sacc convec need to

change to be more proactive n corporate like,

instead of still hiding under their gomen attitude..

coz most gomen offices skang pun da lain.. tp tis

one, ntah la.. d manager didnt appeal to me la..

sime darby convec's food is superb from wat i

remembered way 2-3 years back.. haha.. lama

giler.. i remember the choc cake, n i know my

friends along n izwan wud remember their bread pudding..

nothing is off about sime darby.. i like it.. big hall..

very nice staff.. cuma, bcoz they're not hotels kan.. so

they dont have rooms for our committee members to get

ready.. function rooms je x enuf coz there's no shower..

as the bride, our hospitality suite mmg ada shower, but

xkan semua org nk shower kat situ.. there's only one..

so most probably, sime darby is out kut..

prince hotel.. food is superb.. service is superb.. and they

hv rooms for our committee members.. my sis held her

reception here too.. tat was how we got to knw the food was

great.. tat was y we came back.. unfortunately, the ballroom

is quite small.. so instead of wanting to hv 500 guests, i can

only fit 400 guests.. but, my heart is set wit prince jugak

becoz of the food..

becoz we go mana2 wedding pun, ppl talk bout the food kan..

pelamin or other details of the wedding usually org x perasan

sgt.. unless da buruk sgt2 la kan.. hahaha!

but i havent placed any booking yet, still in contemplating

~ thank god it's friday! ~

ajoy came home today.. kul 6am smpi s.alam..

caught like a couple hours of sleep then head

to kl to do some work.. after tat, we went to

one utama to book our wedding rings at one

utama..

i kept asking him nk mkn apa.. nk mkn apa..

because every week he will go to terengganu

for his business.. so everytime he comes back,

i give him the liberty to choose where to eat..

kesian, kat tganu there's not much choice kan..

so he asked me to choose either chilli's or tgif..

n i will always choose tgif over chilli's anytime..

we had lunch quite late, 230pm camtu.. friday

kan.. and i had three for all whc consists of

mozarella stick, baked skin potatoes, chicken

wings n celery (whc i dont eat) hehe.. i took tis

in the agreement at ajoy has to share with me..

and ajoy had friday's cheese burger.. xtau la y,

but when we go to places like tis, ajoy most often

nk try burger dia.. hehehe.. and m glad he did,

coz burger dia sedap! we had a bad experience

one time when we ate at delicious.. the burger

was sooooo dry n tak sedap.. tgif's was so moist..

tp sbb besar sgt so ajoy pun tak abis.. hehehe..

and plus he had to share my 3 for all kan..

and guess wat, we didnt even have dinner.. none

of us was hungry.. i think i only felt d hunger pang

at 1am kut.. already too late to eat.. kalau mkn makin

gumuk la nanti.. i'd rather starve.. hehe.. ;)

really describes us.. :)

i really do feel lucky to be in love with

my bestfriend.. however, i opposed tis

idea at first because my previous

relationships with friends - good or

close didnt turn out well - obviously.. :P

and of course, i ended up losing the

friendship as well.. tat wud be d last

thing i want to happen to ajoy n i..

i guess tat was y i kinda blocked my

feelings and kept in denial tat i may

be on d same page as he is too.. bcoz

i sayang him too much to let anything

ruin our friendship.. bcoz i takut sgt

we wont work out like all my past

relationships..

but my instincts were too strong on

saying yes to ajoy, on giving chance to

ajoy, on telling me tat tis time it will

work out.. and usually, my instincts

win. n m glad, very glad i followed

my instincts..

and his instincts tat we really are

meant to be together made him not

lose hope on being with me.. m sure

he is also glad he didnt give up on me..

it is so great tat none of us was in the

'impressing another' mode when we

started being friends.. becoz, we were

juz friends.. no need to control apa2 ke,

no need to impress one another ke, no

need to think of how to be interesting ke,

coz we're friends.. we dont need all tat..

bcoz nobody nk ngorat anybody mula2..

and bcoz of tis, both of us knew each other,

inside n out, unpretentiously..

bcoz of tis also, i know how he is around his

friends, colleagues n family.. vice versa..

there was no such thing as personality

change when m not around him.. y wud thr

be, he is who he is then n now.. vice versa..

i know some guys do change personality

whenever their gf/fiance/wife is not around..

camner nak identify? put their spouse nxt to

them n see if they suddenly change.. tiba2 je

jd baik semacam hahahaha.. tis is because

perangai giler2 busuk2 buruk2 with friends

wasnt potrayed during d mengorat part..

becoz d intention is to mengorat.. tats y jd

mcm tu..

some might say it is kinda dangerous to hv

a relationship with yr best friend bcoz masing2

knows too much about each other.. some might

say it is better to hv relationship with yr best

friend because we know a lot about each other.

in my past cases, mmg not ok of coz.. but in our

case, it helped us a lot so far.. :)

we're still relatively very very new in relationship..

still a lot more to be discovered.. a lot more years

to come.. i juz hope that after 10 years, 20 years

down d road i can still say i'm lucky i'm in love

with my best friend.. :)

~ tailor or rent ~

i've been pondering on whether to

tailor my own dress.. or rent one..

my nikah baju da settle da.. m

actually searching for my reception

dress now.. i would like to wear a

wedding gown on my reception..

and i already have some ideas for

the design, thanx to my mummy.. and

also where to send it for tailoring..

thing is, not everybody can sew

wedding gowns.. and if they can, usu

it will be quite expensive.. usually more

than rm1,000.. kalau yg murah dr tu,

i pulak yg tak confident.. takut ntah

apa rupa ntah jadinyer.. beli kain

mahal2 tp jadi cam kain perca hehehe..

and if we wanna rent pulak, i dont like

d idea of wearing something tat other

ppl have wornt before, and usually d

sizes are always at least 1 size bigger..

so nmpk sgt baju sewa.. me no likey!

and then i met adib from arma couture..

rupanyer tis concept mmg da ada, but

becoz i mana tau benda2 kawin ni, so

it was a cool n great idea to me la..

he said i can either sewa baju lama (no

wayyyyyy) or sewa baru.. sewa baru

means they design for us, tailor made

for us, semua ikut camner kita nk, but

the gown is theirs.. meaning after i wear

it, i give it back coz i only sewa ma.. i

like tat! all the better!

it was like we hntr tailoring, but we dont

hv to pening2 fikir wat to do with the

wedding gown after we're done with it..

hehehe.. kan kan kan?

~ arma couture ~

i have been searching for the perfect wedding planner..

not perfect in the sense of they have everything under

one roof.. kalau nk jadi wedding planner harus la kan..

but i have been searching for one tat suits me.. in terms

of their personality, how they treat us and all.. their

flexibility.. and i think i have found one..

thanx to my sister who suggested arma wedding couture to me..

while i was browsing thru their site, i saw a very2

familiar face, a friend of mine, eira.. tat made me more

confident to work with arma couture..

after loads of browsing, i couldnt wait to meet up with

them! after setting appoinment, i finally met up with

adib, arma's assistant.. and he was super nice.. and

i juz love their designs.. and their flexibility..

i think i will work with them.. :) tp lum 100% confirm

lg.. for now, about 80% hati da ke arma.. hehehe..

~ perfect image ~

nobody is born perfect.. near perfect

boleh la kut.. but no one is perfect..

however, where i am working now,

somehow or rather m expected to

be perfect.. ada je yg nk comment..

positive n negative comments.. yg

positive tu takpe la kan.. but d

negative ones tu.. sighhhh.. it's not

tat i cant take criticism, but i feel

d critics are juz too much..

i mean, i am only human.. with

loads of flaws n imperfections.. juz

like anybody else in the world.. but

i dont know why in the world i am

being judged as tho i am a model

or actress who can only have a

teenie weenie bit of a flaw..

there are a few guys there who wud

always always always criticise me..

boncet la.. muka penat la.. jerawat la..

but usually, it is always bout my tummy..

the same thing happened today, again!

tis particular guy, let's call him J,

commented my tummy.. J said "eeee

perut boncetnyerrrrrr.." ok, i do realise

i have gained a lil bit of weight.. but my

tummy at tat particular time wasnt boncet

at all! like gimme a break la..

i dont know wat his prob is, but he wud

always comment my tummy.. yg bestnyer,

his gf, who is about 10 years my junior

looks like a married woman with 2 children,

flabby all over, and definitely has tummy!

so yg dia nak comment2 me tu pehal???

go fix yr gf first la.. wat's more important is

my ajoy is happy with my figure now.. but

still, i will still get upset everytime J comments

my tummy.. :(

~ of rocks & blings ~

let's talk about wedding rings.. :)

i absolutely LOVE jeweleries..

esp wedding rings.. even back whn

i was sceptical to marriage, i still

love wedding rings.. i mean who

doesnt kan..

and now, m glad i'll be getting one

for myself!

wedding rings will be with us for a

longggggg time.. well, provided we'll

be married for tat length la kan.. hihi..

wat m trying to say here is choosing

d right ring is important.. bcoz tat ring

will be d one we look at everyday..

choosing the ring.. wat does it take?

first of all, budget la kan.. wedding

rings ranges from rm500 to as high

as more than rm20,000..

prices depends on the cut.. the

clarity.. the colour.. the settings..

the band.. and the brand..

as for mine, i chose a classic cut,

solitaire, colour is clear enuff hehehe..

and i went for diamonds & platinums..

will post the pics after my nikah k..

nanti x suprise..

m very happy with my choice..it took

me quite awhile for me to choose.. i

went from diamonds & plats, my

diamond, poh kong, tomei, etc.. all

the average budget jewelers la.. but i

did go to tiffany's, mahal gilerrrr.. haha..

in the end, it was down to d&p or my

diamond.. and after going back and

forth so many times, i finally settled with

diamonds & platinums.. :)

~ the next step ~

so from my previous post, i mentioned

hopping on ajoy's horse and see where

it's taking us.. and d ride has taken us

to a bigger commitment, d biggest step

in both our lives ~ marriage..

on 16th aug 09, his family came to my

hse for merisik ceremony.. it is more of

merisik + engagement.. a very2 simple

one.. no dulang2.. juz a very nice ring

i picked out.. hehehe.. and discuss2..

tu jer..

we've decided to nikah on 12th dec 09..

121209.. hehehe, cantik tak date? and

it will be nikah gantung.. y, ada la a few

reasons..

theme colour? it will be shocking pink &

light pink.. i came up with this colour at

euro moda.. d staff first gave me light

pink satin to match with d light pink lace

tat i chose.. but ntah la.. rasa cam biasa

sgt2.. so i tried to experiment and asked

for shocking pink satin instead hehehe..

and walllllahhhhhh!! loving it!! d staff

loved it too and said tak pernah anybody

did tat combination for wedding.. so tats

tat.. i decided to stick with tat..

my hantaran to ajoy will also be dark &

light pink.. tat also goes for the hantaran

cake m giving ajoy.. cute kan? ;)

~ knight in shining armour ~

the man who managed to capture my heart is called ajoy..
many friends asked me y him.. here's y he's d king of my
heart.. my knight in shining armour.. or watever u call
d love of yr life..

i never saw him before.. he was kinda invisible to me for
quite some time even tho he was quite transparent to
everybody else around me.. emotionally.. not physically..

but after awhile, i finally saw him.. he never really did
woo me like other men who liked me as well.. he didnt
ask me out on dates or movies or dinners.. he didnt do
all the things men would do to get the love of his life.. i
mean, he didnt do it with material stuff..

wat he gave me was his commitment in being there for
me, for laughs and tears, for good and bad times.. he
was always there when i needed to whine or cry.. he'll
juz listen and be there for me, alwaysssss.. even when
i went to him crying about other guys.. tis was when i
didnt know he was in love me.. to me, he was a great
friend.. too great when i thought of it real hard one time..

then, i saw wat everybody else saw.. he was so into me..
and at the back of my head, i think i have always loved
him too.. only i thought it was more of friend-friend kinda
love u know..

a series of sad events in my life lead to our love.. i didnt
wanna talk to anybody else but him.. whc also puzzled me
in the beginning.. and then the feelings juz came naturally
to me.. the more i see it, the more i see tat he is the one for me..

he has been my knight in shining armour all these while..
i felt it was juz about time i hop onto his horse and ride along
and see where it took us..

it took us to places we've never been before.. until one day,
we decided to.. settle.. :)

~ my bestie's e-day ~

one of my bestfriend juz got engaged yesterday..

her name is sha.. her fiance is hafiz..

her engagement was almost like a nikah ceremony..

hehehe, i'd say ckit lg da nk mcm nikah da.. :P

considering it was juz an engagement, it was quite

elaborate..

she wore white.. hafiz also wore white.. that included

myself n ajoy, her mum n siblings, and hafiz's mum..

after the sarung cincin ceremony, hafiz's entourage had

some drinks & manisan & currypuff.. and then when

everybody went down to the pool (where the mkn2 is),

sha & hafiz had their own private exchange watches

ceremony, witnessed by her niche family, me and her

other close colleague, rina..

after that, we all went down to the pool.. but.. it was

not really an easy breezy walk.. it was a march.. :)

yes, like wedding march.. first it was sha & hafiz.. thn

right behind them was sha's sister amy & her bf.. then

it was me & ajoy.. followed by her mum, rina & hafiz's

mum in one row and followed by her other entourage..

we marched right to her table and then dispersed to

masing2 punyer meja.. then during d makan2 time, we

also celebrated sha's birthday..

ok, a lil details about her engagement k..

sha's attire is from radzuan razwill..

f&b from manisa catering..

hantaran was 4 balas 5 trays.. dont ask me y.. hihi..

~ back in action ~

i havent blogged for a longggggg time..
y eh? hmmm.. i think it was bcoz this
blog had too much history attached to it..
tat was y all the posts were deleted..

anyways, i miss blogging.. i miss babbling
bout things tat goes on in my life.. whether
or not anybody cares, i dont care.. hehe..

so m back.. back in action.. my blog will
still revolve around the same thing - things
tat goes on around me n my life.. but tis
time, it'll be more about me preparing to
