theme: black & white (even the guests were asked to come in black & white)

::my bff's big day : part 1 : nikah::

salam.. 

in my last entry, i wrote about being my bff's MOH kan.. sbnrnya tgh agak malas nk update.. but, nnti lupa pulak kan.. ok let's start with her nikah first.. 

date: 01 01 2011 (popular date kan hehehe)

venue: villa may, sec 7, s.alam

attire: radzuan radziwill

make up, hair & accessories: kak zaiha (same with me)

hantaran: nurul nuwoo (same with me jugak hehe)

cantik kan????? she said she also chose pink for her nikah coz it's my fave color.. so sweet hehe..

during mkn2 time, i gave a short speech as MOH to her.. :)

::being MoH::

tomorrow is my bff's big day.. as she was my maid of honor (MOH), i was hers as well.. ^_^  this is her when she was my MOH.. hehe..

to remind myself and for other's reading pleasure as well.. let us look at the duties of MOH shall we.. ;)

{pre-wedding}

help her with ALL preparation of the wedding as and when needed.. so when she asks for help, do it.. hehe.. so alhamdulillah, i have helped her in so many ways and help her make decisions for her wedding as well.. this goes from choosing venue, gifts, etc.. there are also a lot of things that she decided herself la.. hehe.. 

{wedding day}

~ ensure yr friend, the bride arrives to the ceremony on time..

~ assist her in getting into her dress.. be there during make up session coz she would need extra pair of hands as her hands are tied down during the make up session.. 

~ be the messenger for her if she wants to communicate with her family or the groom..

~ from time to time, visit the ceremony hall/reception hall just to make sure there are no problems/issues.. 

~ help make sure the bride has privacy, esp when she's getting ready and maybe she wud also need some quiet time b4 the ceremony.. 

~ help to hold her veil and/or train all the time!!

~ be her right-hand woman all the time!! 

~ she might be very very nervous all the time, so be there for her and constantly calm her down.. 

~ hold her bouquet when needed..

~ make a toast/speech if she ask u too.. 

~ last but not least, provide moral support and be a great listener throughout the process since it is a very wonderful but also a stressful time for her. it is our job to keep her sane hehehe..

tats it.. i hope i have done a great deal helping thru the process as much as she has helped me and been there for me during my time.. 

i juz hope during the speech ceremony, i would not fumble! hahaha.. thinking about it pun da menggeletar da tgn coz da lama tak public speaking.. LOL! 

::wedding review: 26th n 27th nov 2010: nana & yap:

byk benda nk citer tp tak tau mana nk start dulu.. let's start with a wedding review shall we? 26th and 27th nov was the date of ajoy's cousin's wedding.. i think i mentioned this in my last entry, ke my last 2 entries.. hehe tak igt.. 26th was her nikah, mlm tu mlm berinai, and then 27th tu was her reception.. buat kat umah.. kat seremban.. 

sbnrnyer i have never been to malam berinai before.. so this majlis is very new to me.. hehe.. baru tau apa itu mlm berinai.. best ek rupanyer.. teringat malam tu masa family members nk kenakan inai kat muka pengantin, n pengantin nk balas balik.. kelakar.. hehe.. my job was to pass tissue kat pengapit mlm tu.. pakai tissue byk giler kan sbb nk lap inai tu.. nvrtheless it was really fun.. 

esoknya, our family members semua pki grey.. kain sponsored by ajoy's family member.. tailoring sponsored by me myself and i. haha.. pengantin pulak pki purple songket.. ni la gmbr pengantin..

ni pulak gmbr pengantin lama.. hehehe.. saje.. semua pengantin lama bgambar kat pelamin hihi..

~ 120610 : wedding of ina & adam @ kemaman ~

last sat ajoy & i went to our friend's wedding @ kemaman, terengganu.. since we were already in tganu so might as well pegi la kan... and actually, we had about 3-4 more wedding invites on the same date (12th june 2010) tp yg lain kat KL so tak sempat la nk pegi.. 

anyway, i've always liked to go to weddings yg luar selangor & KL because m curious with their adat and food.. coz lain tempat sometimes lain procedures dia, food pun lain.. 

so this time, kat tganu pulak.. d wedding was held at felda neram 1.. and at tat same area, there were so many other weddings on the same date.. i pun tak sure brp tp mmg byk.. hehe.. we followed the signage towards their house and parked kat tempat ramai org park.. nmpk ada 1 umah  ni ada khemah but we werent sure if tats our friend's house ke tak.. nasib baik ada banner for their kenduri, kalau tak mesti da g mkn kat salah umah tu.. hahahahah... personally, i usually dont like banners for weddings, but for weddings camnie i think it is essential to the wedding.. kalau tak pegi salah umah pulak kan.. hehe.. 

we arrived juz as adam, the groom nak akad nikah.. hehehe timing baik punya.. sempat tgk diaorg nikah.. for those in selangor & KL, kalau nk akad, the groom kena sebut nama kita in full and the amount semua kan? kalau kat kelantan pulak, pendek jer "aku terima nikahnya dgn mas kahwin tersebut tunai...", kat tganu pulak, nama pun tak yah sebut, tp mas kahwin kena sebut brp jumlahnya.. so my friend ni, mas kahwin + wang hantaran kut coz mas kahwin yg adam sebut was rm11,111.11.. haaaa korang bygkan la nk lafazkan amount tu.. tak ke berbelit lidah hehehehehe.. nasib baik tak yah sebut nama.. hehehehe..

so lepas da akad, the new husband & wife pun kuar ke meja beradab.. pastu ada persembahan silat.. tp pengantin tak mkn lagi.. after the persembahan silat baru the pengantins went and change to their sanding attire pastu kuar makan.. we didnt get the chance to see them on their pelamin coz we had to leave already.. 

ajoy demam actually.. sbb tu we left quite early.. apa2 pun, we were delighted that ina & adam are already married.. semoga berbahagia ke akhir hayat.. enjoy d pics.. :)

~ ten for ten weddings : part 2 : irma & afie ~

since pegi wedding ayie pun da kul 3pm kan, we arrived home nearly 5pm kut.. biasa la kan laki kalau g wedding his friends mesti nk lepak lama2 punyer.. hihihi..

anyways, guest arrival time for irma's wedding starts at 745pm.. meaning have to leave s.alam latest by 7pm.. meaning have to get ready latest by 6pm.. pastu ajoy kata we may have to drop by sunway to drop something to his uncle.. so kena la start siap awal lg kan.. aiyoh not enough time to rest pun.. da la tido 3 hours je td.. 

remember baju melayu ajoy yg mcm ada kesan softlan tat i hung pagi2 tu? so balik tu dpt rest skjp and then kena gosok baju ajoy pulak.. thing is, masa rehat2 tu, tak sedar tat time flew so fast, tau2 da 530pm da.. haiyaaa... kelam kabut la apa lagi.. hihihihi.. because of time constraints bcoz baju melayu tu susah giler nk gosok, degil sungguh komot2 dia tu, and also i myself nk kena bersiap (make up kan lama :P), ajoy tolong gosokkan his own samping and also tolong buatkan milo for me so tat i wont hv gastric later.. tq love!! *hugz*

i think last2 kuar rumah pun at 730pm kut.. tp coz now kan ada mcm2 highway, so we took nkve and duke.. smpi awal gak.. around 8pm kut.. smpi2 terus jumpa nini & wida at the parking lot.. :) eh lupa nk mention, irma's wedding was held at dewan perdana felda, kl.. mesti korang da imagine d grandness of d wedding kan.. ye, sgt2 grand ye.. meletop!! :)

anyway, masa smpi tu, we went straight to the ballroom, tak register pun hehe.. bukan tak nak register, but coz we didnt see the registration counter.. ramai sgt org kut kat situ.. tats y tak nmpk kut hehe.. ushers pun cuma tny kitaorg kwn sape jer, tak usher pulak kitaorg ke tempat registration.. so bila smpi kat ballroom's door kan, d usher kat situ tny no meja, pastu semua muka blank.. hahaha! then he said oh tak register lg ke.. kena register dulu, dptkan no meja..

so terpaksa la kitaorg jln balik to where we came from.. tu pun cari meja registration tak jumpa gak mula2.. and there was a huge board with table no and names under every table.. tak tau la caner but i immediately saw our names.. table 70.. mak aihhh mcm jauh je bunyi nyer.. hihi.. and then we went to the reg tables, i thought nk kena sign guest books ke, sign apa2 ke, rupanyer just to get the table no tag..

then we went back to the ballroom.. eh now it occured to me masa 1st time smpi d hall tak perasan pulak d pelamin, maybe coz da blur kut.. hikk.. so when we entered d first thing we saw of course la pelamin... cantik pelamin dia.. simple and nice.. ala2 arma punye gak.. and in my heart i was thinking, nasib baik la kitaorg tukar concept for my wedding kalau tak da mcm lebih kurang da pelamin irma and mine.. hahahaha! agak kelakar la kan kalau g wedding last week, canie pelamin dia, tis week pun lebih kurang jer.. mcm sama supplier jer.. hehe.. tp irma punyer ni bukan arma punyer.. tak tau dia buat dgn sape..

and of course la d hall sgt2 la besar kan.. if m not mistaken can fit about 1000 pax kut.. but irma punyer kalau betul la my calculation, is about 800 pax.. just nice, tak sempit sgt.. our table jauh gak from d pelamin.. nmpk bhgn tepi pelamin jer.. kalau from my seat, bole nmpk bhgn tepi muka afie jer.. hehehe.. and then wida told me, irma mmg nk letak kitaorg jauh, sbb takut tergelak tgk muka kitaorg.. tak leh nk control ayu.. hahahahahha! tats irma, very funny girl.. ni gmbr irma masa dia tunang.. saje amik gmbr tak nmpk sgt muka coz i dont know if she's ok with me putting up her pics here.. hehe.. yg ni i copy paste from her fb.. :P

bila smpi awal ni biasa la kan, bosan tunggu, so byk gak amik gmbr.. i really wanted to take a photo of her pelamin tp malu la nk g depan coz nk kena lalu banyak meja.. so i took from tepi jer la.. ni la hasil dia.. tp nmpk gak pelamin tu kan? cantik kan? irma punyer theme colour pun lebih kurang dgn mine whc is purple and silver, whilst mine was purple and white, kebetulan sgt2 ni hehehe.. so d pelamin pun ada purple2 gak.. nasib baik tis pelamin uses a diff shade of purple kalau tak samaaa je mine n hers boring gak nanti kan hahahaha.. :)

irma & afie marched in around 9 pm plus.. tak igt wat time.. lama jugak la tggu tp takpe, raja sehari kan, so kena la tggu hihihi.. they had live feed kat majlis tu.. so d live feed showed afie drove a white vw eos and parked kat dpn hall.. wahhhh style gitu kan.. hehehe.. pastu ada selawat before they walked in, tp live feed tak tunjuk pulak.. and then after selawat, they marched into the hall, accompanied by a very famous malaysian saxofonist Jari.. yeeee Jari ok! walauwehhh hehehe.. he played lagu kenny g yg fofular tu.. and when they entered d hall kan, kitaorg semua rasa cam nk nangis.. terharu coz irma caaaannnnnttteeeekkkkkkk sgt2!!!!! tp takde gmbr la, i dont even knw y i didnt take any photos of them whenever they're walking.. terpaku kut.. hahahah!

irma told me she designed her own baju.. cantik sgt.. irma ni da la sgt2 slim and she has very2 nice figure and dia pun mmg sgt cantik, tgk gmbr td pun tau dia cantik sgt kan.. to me, she has d classic malay beauty look.. mcm org dulu2 punyer cantik tu.. to me, tu la kecantikan perempuan melayu yg sebenar.. bukan yg mix2 punyer (kutuk diri sendiri gak nih) hihihi.. and her tiara, omg, bole tak nk ckp lg sekali, omg, cantik sgt2!! she really looks like a ratu.. to me, her tiara and hairstyle accomplished d whole look.. good job darling!!

irma's wedding concept is very different from mine.. mine mmg simple & short but sweet ecehhh.. irma punyer is the typical malay wedding yg org buat kat hotel or halls, with hints of englishness.. when i say typical i dont mean it is a bad thing ya.. jgn salah fhm pulak.. wat i meant is ada merenjis2, high table semua tu.. meaning d wedding sgt la grand.. :)

mcm biasa bila da naik pelamin, after tat got merenjis2 semua tu.. if m not mistaken ada about 5 VIP couples kut yg merenjis, including senator dato' maznah mazlan.. but i wasnt sure brp ramai yg merenjis coz sebok amik gmbr la, borak la, tak tgk pun org merenjis hihi.. ajoy & i mmg tak suka merenjis2 ni.. tats y our weddings takde merenjis2..

after merenjis, the vips walked to d high table followed by d pengantin accompanied by d song 'tonight, i celebrate my love for you' performed by the band.. tp syg, they couldnt remember the lyrics, so sgt2 spoil.. to me la.. maybe org lain tak kisah hehe.. masa tu da nearly 10pm kut.. igtkan da bole makan da coz da lapar giler da time tu, my tummy pun da mula bloated.. tp kena tgk montaj dulu da.. hehehe.. nasib baik montajnya best, esp part 1 malaysia tu.. :D so i think around 10pm kitaorg dpt mkn.. yeay!!! here's d menu for d nite:

even though d menu byk sama dgn ptg td punyer menu, but of course d taste is different.. and of all d lauks, paling best is lauk 'isi ikan harum wangi bunga kantan'.. mmg wangi and sgt3 sedap kali 100! siap tambah ikan lg.. da la i bukan jenis tmbh mkn.. :P while enjoying the food, mcm my wedding gak, we were serenaded by the band.. most of the songs sama dgn songs masa my wedding.. hihihi.. lagu2 standard tuk weddings kut.. 

d ikan is yg betul2 plg bwh.. 

m actually trying to think of wat happens next tp tak brp igt la.. ada speech by her siblings, her uncle, and performance by nash, penyanyi rock tu.. apa lagi eh.. alamak seriously tak igt, sibuk borak2 kut hihihihi.. but wat i know is d wedding ended around 1130pm.. time ni tak sabar2 nk amik gmbr with irma n afie smpi terlupa nk bg hp kat photog tuk tlg amik.. aisehhh.. 

we finally reached home a lil after midnite.. tu pun da ngantuk giler2 da coz tak cukup tido kan.. but then smpi rumah tak tido gak.. tido kul 430am la pulak.. eh, da citer lain.. haha.. 

ok, all in all, irma's wedding was beautiful, fabulous n majestic.. did i mentioned her veil sgt2 panjang?? tat added to d dramatic effect every time they march ke mana2.. so irma, tq so much for inviting us to your beautiful wedding.. :)

ten for ten (10 apr '10) ~ yesterday, ajoy and i attended 2 weddings.. the 1st one is ajoy's friend, ayie panjang whc was held at dewan c, sec 6 s.alam.. yg ni majlis bertandang so simple je la kan.. so mcm biasa majlis kul 12 tgh - 4 pm.. i think ajoy n i smpi pun around 3pm kut.. nape lambat eh.. 

well no 1, byk sgt benda nk kena kemas kat umah.. pastu nk kena gosok baju kitaorg lg kan.. smlm i tido kul 630am, lepas subuh.. tak bole tido tak tau nape.. so since tak leh tido mmg mcm2 benda la buat, termasuk la gosok baju.. yes, i gosok baju kul 4am ya.. mcm org giler pun ada rasa masa tu.. hihi.. then actually nk gosok baju melayu ajoy skali, tp masa nk gosok tu perasan mcm kotor pulak baju dia.. pdhal baru je amik from the laundrette.. suar dia pun sama.. mcm ada kesan softlan ke apa ntah.. so i had to soak ajoy's baju melayu dulu.. in d end, lps buat a few things, at 630am tu paksa diri gak tuk tido..

woke up early, at 930am.. early la tu kan considering i slept at 630am hihihi.. couldnt sleep coz i knw i have loads of things more to do, esp sidai baju melayu ajoy.. kang tak kering kang caner, da pening kepala balik nk pikir nk pakai apa.. and then, actually since friday ajoy ada meeting outstation, so smlm dlm kul 12 tgh baru smpi rumah.. both of us havent had much sleep lately so ajoy tido dulu.. sambil2 tu, i sebok la buat itu ini including gosok baju ajoy yg tak jadi nk gosok awal pg td tu.. 

however, masa nk bersiap tu agak haru gak la.. da la cam rushing2.. pastu masa pakai my baju kurung chinese silk tu, nmpk mcm bhgn depan still crumpled lg.. so i took it off sbb nk gosok balik la kan.. but then, i forgot sblm tu i ironed selendang yg susah giler nk hilangkan kedut so kena upkan temperature.. and then i forgot to turn it back down.. so masa nk gosok tu kan, baru je letak d iron on the baju terus ada bau lain n bunyi apa ntah, tak smpi 2 secs terus angkat d iron.. ALAMAKKKKKK lobaaaannnngggggg!!!!!! uwaaaaa!!!!!!!!!! 

terus i jerit 'MasyaAllahhhhhhh!!!!'.. and then ajoy terus lari masuk bilik iron tu.. dia igtkan something really bad happened.. rupanyer baju sudah lobang daaa... hahahahhahah!! adehhhhh tension nyer.. da kena pikir nk pki baju apa balik.. thing is about me, kalau g weddings or beraya kan, mesti wajib nk kena matching dgn ajoy.. time2 lain tak suka pulak nk matching.. tp kalau g wedding wajib.. sbb ntah la tak suka sgt la tgk couples yg tak matching dtg wedding.. sorry kalau ada yg terasa, maybe kita lain pdpt jer.. :)

ajoy mmg da ckp dia nk pki baju yg mana.. i only have one baju kurung about the same colour tp baju ni teramat2 la lama.. i think baju kurung masa study kat uitm kut.. tak igt masa dip or deg.. tp lama la tu kannnnn... da berbulu2 da baju tu kalau tgk betul2.. hihihihi..
